    Exclamation Computer Not Booting = Lots of Crying

    Sorry if i write this poorly im not Mega good at pc's just kinda adverage i quess. Anyways i just bought some new parts set them um and they aint working im running:

    Asus A8N32-SLi Deluxe nForce4 SLi
    AMD Athlon 64 3200+
    Western Digital Raptor 74GB WD740GD 10,000RPM
    Corsair 1GB DDR XMS3200XL Low Latency
    PowerColor ATI Radeon X800 XL 256MB
    600w Power Supply
    Cooler Master Case ( Centurion )

    Please if anyone knows what i can do to make it boot please tell me : ) : )
    At the moment its a new hard drive with no OS on it also i have all wires conected properly as far as i can tell. Although i have never used a raptor drive so maybe i have that wrong. Currently the computer starts up all fans work and all lights that should be on are but the case little speaker does not beep and keyboard and monitor dont boot either.

    Sorry to have rambled so much just making sure u all had every bit of info : ) : )

    Hi can you get to the BIOS ?
    if so check that you new HD is listed...

    Check the power connectors to the mobo are correctly seated - with the aux in at the top and the main atx addon connector 20+4 correctly seated. Could be enough connected to start the psu but not enough correctly connected to power the mobo. Could check if the green light at the bottom of the mobo is on? Just some thoughts.

    Don't forget that there are two power connectors from the PSU to the Mobo these days. Caught me out when I built my last PC

    Yeah the green light is on : )

    Just looked at the comp again the green light is on and i have all three mobo connectors fully secure? this is so confusing : ) Iv had probs with my computers before but this one i just dont get... heh


    Also naa cant get to the bios the computer does turn on and stays on but the monitor doesnt come up with anything and the bios doesnt boot cause the keyboard dont light up and there isnt a beep from the mobo

    Does your graphics card need it's only power via molex? If so have you plugged that in?

    Yeah GPU has power from the PSU

    Man not having a computer sucks lol

    My brother is playing Oblivion all day long while i watch lol : )

    are there any diagnostic lights like on the dfi boards that tell you what has been detected?

    Strip down try again with just the cpu in place with fan see if the motherboard beeps keep adding parts ram check for beeps the gpu see if you can get into the bios then also check the motherboard is not shorting cheek fixings.
