CPU-Z Report
Just some notes and questions really.Graphics Card Manufacturer Built by ATI
Graphics Chipset All-in-Wonder X1800XL
Bus Type PCI Express
Current Bus Setting PCI Express
Memory Size 256 MB
Memory Type DDR3
Core Clock in MHz 500 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 495 MHz
Memory timings, i set them to the 2-2-2-5 standard timings, but wasn't sure what the other timing options were, should the TRC/Idle timer be set to something? (If so where do i find out). If theres anything else you notice from the CPU-Z report which needs tweaking... lemme know please.
Temperatures, apparently Antec P180 + Thermo Big-T are keeping the CPU at a astounding... 27oc idle, went upto 31oc when playing world of warcraft with a system temp hanging around 26-27oc too. As for the graphics card, well i can see first hand that they run very frekkin hot. From the ATI Catalyst center can see the idle temperaute (while typing this) is 66oc and i noticed when playing WoW it went upto about 77oc. I'm not even using the 120mm supplied case fan at the front of the case, but i may if i notice temps going above 80-85oc.
While on the graphics card note, i can see from the catalyst center the processor clock (500/575) and memory clock (495/550) arent set to the maximum settings, should I unlock these settings and whack them upto full? (Providing may need to turn on the extra case fan to increase cooling).
Oh a extra note on the card... holy its big. So big infact that the 4-Pin 12V cable supplied with the Hiper bearly, and oh i mean BARELY reaches. Its tight against the top of the card and i've had to actually pass it UNDER the thermo big-t (Gratious for that design feature or it wouldnt have stood a chance of reaching).
One more thing i do need is, a new Monitor. Can someone recommend me a good monitor (has to play Games on good settings) not really looking to pay much more than £150. Friends recommended me towards Samsung 'Best Seller' SM913N 19" TFT 8ms for the monitor, thoughts?
Thanks, and thanks to everyone who had the initial input into the system
