Well, I would definitely prefer to get the OEM version, but I also don't want to have to get a whole new copy if my mainboard dies. The $40 price difference isn't a gigantic deal, but $40 is $40...

*Ahem* Yep; MS define the motherboard as the "heart of a PC" (they're a bit twisted like that) and state that replacement for any reason other than a motherboard failure results in a "new" PC.

So as long as you break your old mobo, you can re-use the OEM license??? Surely thats not right...
