Cheers anyway everyone, I'll know what to look at when it comes to PSU's in the future. I'm a bit annoyed though, Scan didn't ship out my PSU yesterday (ordered around 11am) must've been a busy day for them.
I'm pretty much shaking though as I'm still not sure if the old PSU corpsing took out all my new parts as well I hope like hell it didn't as the PC was off when it apparently went, but we'll see :/
FYI and others - wattage is not an indicator of how well your psu will perform or how many components can draw power from it. The number of amps on the 12V rail is a better indicator of how well your psu will perform. I think my Tagan has 28A on the 12V rail and you should not go above 75% of this figure - for me 21V. Some psu's have dual 12V rails now.

Well, PSU replaced and it's back from the dead. I'd love to know what exactly took out my other one or if it was just on it's last legs..
Now back to overclocking my Opteron 148
