To be precise, i have an XP1700 Thoroughbred core JIUHB DLT3C 0323RPMW
I guess I didn't get a good RPMW, ah well I can't be bothered to try OC'in again atm, maybe 2morrow

I suppose it was luck with the chip that was supplied to me from cpucity...Originally posted by th3 mol3
I don't know how you do it, acidrainy
I've got pretty much the same setup as you, but I can't run Prime95 for longer than an hour @ 2.3ghz, even with Vcore at 1.85V and all the cooling I have on max!
It was a xxxxxxx28xxxx, if that means anything? Also is yours a JUIHB DLT3C?
Appart from that I suppose my q-tec power supply does more for me than people give it credit
Otherwise, i have no idea why you wouldn't be getting simmilar results
Hmmm strange you must of read my mind... or the post that I quickly deleted because I forgot the quoteOriginally posted by th3 mol3

I responded pretty quickly, don't worry u're not going mad
The weeks can make a difference in oc'ability apparently, some people can't get much above 2ghz stable
I musta been lucky! Not sure what week it is though never looked before i mounted the HS one thing i did look at was the big long number and i know that the *****28*** means that it was supposed to be a 2800+ but was underclocked for demand.
Well i read that somewhere online... could mean that AMD were having a cross dressing party in the office that day for all i know
lol, ok. I'm running at 2.2GHz now and everything seems stable. Gonna run Prime95 again soon and hopefully wake up to find no errors
have faith, think positive and it will passOriginally posted by th3 mol3

I'm a little curious about those speeds.
I too have one of those 1700+ JIUHB DLT3C but if I try anything about 10x200, it crashes when doing intensive cpu work (encoding mpeg2, etc). My Vcore is set at 1.65 in the bios which corresponds to a real 1.62 in the OS.
I don't think it's a heat problem 'cos even undler load after about 30 mins, it never really goes above 50 degs.
Mobo's NF7-S v2.0, RAM is Corsair XMS low latency 3200 running at spd (2-2-2-5-2)
I'm beginning to wonder if it could be the PSU ? I have both the normal ATX and the extra 12V connector plugged in, but the PSU is the standard 340W (I think) Chieftec block which came with the Chieftec scorpio case. Considering I have 3 fans running and three harddrives, could power be the problem ?

could be the problem - also you could try running the vcore higher - I find that the system will only run stable at 2.3Ghz and above if the vcore is 1.775 or above - however, then you run into heat issues - I prefer to run it at 1.725 @ 11 x 200 @ 6-2-2-2 which has never crashed.Originally posted by tfboy

Well, I tried running it at 11x200 and it seems happy at the moment. From what I remember, it's set to 1.65V atm...
I'll do some cpu intensive tests when I get home from work, but as of last night, it's been running since and is still up.
That's pretty much what I'm running atm. Prime95 didn't report a single error last night after 8 hours, so I think it's pretty stable.Originally posted by BlackSheep
