Hard drive died today, anything cool to do with it?

It's not an IBM/Hitachi is it? Sounds a bit like the DeathStar 'click of death' which can sometimes be temporarily alleviated by placing the drive in the freezer for half an hour if you've got any important data on the drive you need to get off. A replacement controller from another identical drive is doable as well if you need to recover the data.
