    Cant power on SN25P

    Hi

I have a Shuttle SN25P and have just put a Leadtek WinFast PX7900 GT TDH 256MB into the case.

The WinFast PX7900 GT TDH 256MB is the exact model of card on Shuttles web site as an approved card.

When I plug the extra power adapter needed at the end of the graphics card and turn on the SN25P power the machine doesn't power, just a red LED on the motherboard.

If I un-plug the extra power adapter and start the machine it boots fine, until windows loads the drivers, and the NVIDA system states it will run the card at an under powered state, until the extra power is applied.

Can anyone advise why this is happening, as I expected a Shuttle recomended graphics card to just work.

    Thanks

i think its a known problem.....

it happened to me, i had a 7800gt and it was working fine for months, until i took the card out to get at the sata cables, then when i put the card back in it did the same.... the card worked perfect in a mates pc... anyway i was looking to downgrade gfx so i sold it.

when i googled apparently some guy tried another card exact same model and it worked so it might be one of those niggly hard to solve problems....

sorry this post is no help, just thought i would let you know your not alone

Well I reconnected the card and it powered up.
It worked fine until the last few days when I cant power the shuttle up.

Then after a bit of waiting and nothing else, it powers up.

This seems to be totally random, and irrelevent to wether I reconnect the power or leave it.

    Has anyone got an idea?
All the hardware in the case is on Shuttles compatability list.

I'd pull my hair out except it hurts to do so !
