Okay, I've managed to get 247mhz tops on my ram (value select) and I got to 2450mhz (20mins prime stable) on my processor, but as soon as I hit 2.5 on it failed (probably the ram, need to turn it down). Now every time I restart my computer it says "system in safe mode" and something about resetting frequencies just under the device list. I've tried resetting the frequencies and I've even loaded the fail-safe defaults but the message refuses to go away. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Thats caused by the BIOS temp problem, if you just ignore it, you can carry on and the clocks should remain what you put them at. dont worry about the last 50mhz, so long as it's stable thats a great PC n that board. you just need GFX, (the onboard really slows that board down)

DX10 will probably be worth the upgrade in about 8months by the looks of vista.

How much is this ultra being sold to you for?

U need to probably update your Motherboards bios to the latest version and then you can start overclocking (as you seem to be having some temp reading problems).

Have a look at this guide - its quite long but its it will teach u what you need to know.

    http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/102

Have a skim through that but i dont know if the bios update will help at all with the overclocking features. If not then you would probably have to try some software out.

However lets get this bios updated first so we can atleast see the correct temperature!!!
