    Help a fellow hexite...

I'm looking for a power supply for a SoA set up for friend - I was thinking along the lines of the Tagan 330w one, and just wondered if there were anything better? I would usually recommend the Seasonic - but its more than I want to spend Since building my PC I've kinda lost touch with the market, so some help would be most appreciated

It your friend's PC is based on a Socket A then he really won't need much more than a 250-300W PSU. Here are some options:

    Tagan 330W @ £31.71
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=138556

    Seasonic 330W @ £35.24
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=277839
Not a lot more to pay than the Tagan...

    380W Enermax @ £22.20
    http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Produ...oductID=123527
Dirt cheap and whilst not one of the best would do the job.

Tell your friend that you can buy a case with 400W + PSU for less than £30 but it really isn't much good and will sound like a hoover!

    Good luck
