i saw the msi board in pc world but it only got the optional firewire. i think the abit and asus have them inc already. i am building a machine for my mate and am buying him the asus a7n8x deluxe board. i'll probably get that to or the abit

I would say it's worth going for the Abit (-S) or Asus (Deluxe) as if you're going for the best (nF2 Dual Channel with Soundstorm etc) then you might as well go the whole hog and be certain to get the best of the best which would be those two mbos IMHO. Both top class offerings. The Abit is a bit stronger for extreme o/c'ers while the Asus has a better layout and passive NB but it picky about the RAM used. Pretty even between them.

i'm ordering the abit one mate. it will work with my ram etc till i get another load and bigger processor. will sell the bit's seperately!
