memory for asrock dual - vsta

will be setting up as e6600/asrockdual vsta set up tomo

using 768mb of my ddr 400 for now.

need to get 2gb and wondering if this stuff will work ok has anyone used it?

    http://www.komplett.co.uk/k/ki.asp?s...5-6176BFE08D72

prob upgarde mobo in future but not til lsx10 gfx etc.

i dont really want to spend more than 150 but if there is a significantly better set of ram for more i may pay extra.

OCZ memory is a bit overrated and gimmicky for my liking BUT that is a very nice price for 2GB of good DDR-II memory (especially given the current pricing climate). If you're after absolutely no less than tip top performance then look at G.Skill and Corsair. However, expect to pay through the nose for them.

2 gigs of g-skill would set you back £176 on overclockers if you are prepared to pay the extra cas 4 stuff
    or geil ultra at £200

corsair are good but highly overpriced

    hope this helps

be aware that that ram needs 2.1v to even boot up, im not sure how the asrock handles that kind of thing, but i would look into that further.

Gah! I was going to mention Team "Xtreem" memory but didn't know anywhere that sold it

Anyways, it's great stuff and championed by overclockers across Asia (biggest selling over there I think).
