    going from a :

    to a :

    Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 1.86GHz 1066FSB LGA775 2MB cache OEM £99.99

    250 GB Samsung HD250KD Hard disk drive 7200rpm 8Mb Cache IDE ATA133 £37.99

    Antec TruePower 2.0 380W PSU TPII-380PGB ATX12V 2.01 compliant 24-pin +detachable 4-pin section 21.3 dBA £39.80

wanted to keep with shuttle but that new one is far too dear!!!

should i change any of the components , after best bang for buck

not sure about the size of the sugo, hope it's not too big!!

keeping my x-fi and putting it in the new one, only reason i'm upgrading is because i have got a good price for my old one

is the upgrade gonna make a notable difference?

It looks pretty good, however theres 2 things i would def change:

    1. Get a SATAII hard drive, IDE is slower and has other disadvantages such as no NCQ.
    2. Get a 7900GT is you can, it will give much much better performance for the extra cash.

People also have mixed opinions on Antec PSUs, their reputation seems to have lowered due to various reports of bad batches

Look good..but change the hdd for a seagate .10 drive and what about a X1800XT gfx card...seem really cheap at the moment

The only other concern is..will the CPU be up to the job??

Best value 'bang for buck' card used to be 7600GT, way back in...oh...four months ago. Nowadays, it's a 7900GS (the GT is a tiny bit better, but not better value unless you find a great deal). £116 at Scan, will easily beat a 7600GT (unfortunately for me )
