YER pci is faster most of the time for some reason and all so free's up a usb port
ok mate cheers so there is no major drawbacks with a pci card
cheers which is the best chipset or does it not matter
Wrong, there's nothing between a good router (virata chipset in my case) and an AccessRunner PCI card.Originally posted by Planetside

Only difference is the CPU usage, only a few per% on an Athlon 2700+
I have both, and compared both.
Chipsets wont effect your ping too much, although if your really concious, look on www.adslguide.org.uk . The AccessRunner series all got the lowest latency.
Not that it matters if your crap
surely he was talking about a usb modem not a router? in which case pci would be preferable to a usb modem. or did i miss something?Originally posted by td5
