Spec check - take a look

    Hi all.

Had a great experience from Scan so I am going to place an order with them for a lot of my upgrade stuff. Please can you check the below and let me know what you would change / remove / upgrade? Thanks in advance.

    CPU: Conroe E6300
    MOBO: Gigabyte DS3
    RAM: 2Gb Geil PC6400
    GPU: Connect 3d ATi x1800XT
    HDD: 2 x 250Gb Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 /16Mb cache
CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 7 pro

It's for practically everything you can do with a PC i.e. gaming, videos, office, internet...etc. My current rig is a Barton XP2500+, DDR1, AGP card etc so not much transferrable apart from the case.

I'm definitely planning to overclock as much as possible, yes. I enjoyed doing so with my Barton (it's sitting at 2.2GHz) and would certainly appreciate a similarly good "free" upgrade from my Conroe if possible.

My PSU is an Akasa PaxPower 460W - will this be sufficient? SHould have said that I will be transferring this also.

This is what I already have:

    Case: Lian-Li PC&+II (black)
    PSU: Akasa PaxPower 460W
Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse combo
    Hanns-G 19" widescreen monitor
Logitech 5.1 speakers and Sound Blaster 5.1 Digital sound card

I've been upgrading peripherals steadily for a while and now the time has come to bump up the actual stuff that matters!

I don't see any immediate problems, looks like a good build. If you are woried about your power supply you can google for a power supply calcutor.
