That hard drive only has a 8mb cashe. This doesn't cost much more and would be better.

Thanks for everyone's input, much appreciated. I went with the components I listed except I purchased a Hiper Type R 580W PSU rather than the seasonic as it was not in stock at time of purchase.

I'll get another 1GB stick of RAM after xmas, when prices have dropped a little hopefully.

RAM prices are just insane now. I had a Hiper PSU and it rocked.
