    Scan vs Vadim

well now we have something interresting! just when I was about to buy the Scan Triad G80 Vadim comes out with their white stuff inducing system

Based on the CustomPC Dream PC 2006, it has similar components but it is half as much again

However, I am intrigued that Custom PC felt that the Scan was a great PC but not a dream PC,

Vadim has more choices of Motherboard and will configure the PC overclocked as standard but whether it is worth the extra I really don;t know.

That place looks really good. But its too expensive really. I just priced up the PC I'm about to buy which costs about £980 from Scan. To have it built for me by that place (would be good but...) it was about £200 more NOT including the graphics card

I like the idea that they can OC stuff for you though.. But the price is just too much really. For me anyway.

I think both have got good reputations so chances are if you got one from either you'd be happy.. I looked at Vadim in the past and didn't like all of the case choices (I'm a fussy git) but I daresay they'd amend it if you emailed them... Having said that, the 3XS systems look the biz too... so, I stand by my either/or statement!

I am tempted to go for the scan, but after hearing the ballsup with the Geforce 8800 I am waiting for the next gen AMD card to be released.

ballus up in that the 8800s alegedly dont support HDCP at dual link Resolution (1080P)

Also, it is AMD..... ATi have been bought out by AMD (where have you been this year ) )

Are they being labeled as amd? I'd head about the takeover but as far as I was aware I thought they were staying pretty much independant.
