New system build advice - please

Hi Folks,

This is my first ever post but ive been kicking around a guest for a while - used to use tekforums antil it blew up.

Anyhoo - im after a bit of advice on a new pc.

Currently I have a shuttle SN41G2, XP2500+, 512MB Ram, 80G HD, 6600GT.

I'm now after something a bit faster and with a nice big HD. The problem is I dont really have a clue about the current generation of hardware.

Looking to spend around £400 and for that id like to get (roughly) -

-17" - 19" TFT
-Preffably a SFF case - have enjoyed my shuttle
-1 Gig + of Ram
-250Gb + of HD
-Dual Layer DVD writer - maybe with lightscribe - is it any good?
-Happy with onboard sound and GFX as wont be playing games.
-Looking for (as everyone is) nice reliable and quiet kit.
-Preferabley buy all kit from one supplier (scan or something)

Any help much apprecitated folks.

I'm afraid to say that you'd have to spend 500GBP+ to get a decent system with monitor. However i have been able to round-up some components that you would be able to afford that should do you fine from reading whta you want. Please Note that it excludes the monitor.
