Wireless Headsets - do they exist?

Iv been at university for 3 months now and my 5.1 Sharkoon Majestic headset has developed some cracks around the control box, as a result im sending it back to scan for a refund/replacement.

Now, dont get me wrong this is a fantastic headset, and one id recommend 100%, however it isnt for me. Now that iv arrived at uni and worked out my living arrangement iv found that a wireless headset would make life a lot easier.

My question is, does a wireless headset like the sharkoon majestic exist? I still want it to be able to handle bassy music & 5.1 movies but still have a mic attached for when i fancy some gaming. It also needs to cover both ears fully. Price isnt so much of an issue but id rather not go over board.

How about getting a set of wireless normal headphones and a Logitech Desk Mic? That way you can pick a set of headphones that you can use any-when with the ability to still play games

yeh, i was hoping for an all in 1 system tbh, dont have mutch desk room,and with 2 screens & a hi-fi connected to my PC(everything is on the desk) its a bit of a mess as it is.

i cant imagin its that hard, with wireless keyboards & mice etc around, surely there is a wireless headset out there?

To be honest, even if there were such a device you would be paying a premium, as it doesn't appear to be a mass demand for it. You could always put the money saved towards a bigger desk

yeh, iv seen a few budget wireless headsets on ebay(for skype etc) yet they wouldnt deliver on sound quality for films & music.

Need to have a think about it: wired combo vs wireless with external mic
