    So hang on then, the boards a pile of crap cos your not installing the right drivers for the Jmicron controller?

    pretty much I may have been a little hasty here! I will buy a FDD after Boxing Day and come back andd post the outcome

    LOL - With ANY motherboard - You need SATA Drivers to access your SATA Drives.
    (Except when some of the nF boards used SATA as IDE, never used it myself tho)

    If you have a working PC - Then slipstreaming the drivers works a treat.
    (If using nLite, make sure the box at the first screen of the wizard is un-checked IIRC, or else it won't find the drivers half way through the install)
    Will also save you buying a Floppy drive.

    But FDD's are sooo handy - Wouldn't be without one!
