fanless agp video card that supports 1680x1050

im looking for a fanless agp video card that supports the 1680x1050 widescreen resolution.

i just bought a MAG fp-2226afw 22"widescreen lcd ($329CAD!) and my current videocard doesnt support that specific resolution.

i must say that unlike most people here my objective is not top-notch graphics, as i use my machine to make music and not to play games (ok sometimes i play games

but no noise and stability is what i need.

    im thinking about this one:
    http://www.asus.com.tw/products4.asp...73&modelmenu=1

the only thing is that i cant see on the asus website if this card supports that exact resolution (wide: 1680x1050)

If it's not, I'll eat my hat

Seriously... if you're intending to play any games from the past 4+ years, then go for something with more juice. Anything with more juice.

It'll support that resolution fine (it's down to the drivers primarily anyway) - but it's really not going to be doing anything more than 2D (I know, I had used one at work until 6 weeks ago).

Certainly don't expect games at 1680x1050. It's just not gonna happen. Fine for 2D use, but really - unless the games you're playing are Solitaire and Chip's Challenge, you're stuck.

The 9200 doesn't even have enough to run Vista Aero (the 9250 may, but I seriously doubt it, as that series of cards were left at the Radeon 5.12 drivers IIRC).

A passive AGP 7600GS should be suitable for you.
