If you are simply wanting to replace a hard drive with a larger one then just use acronis true image. It is free when you use it in windows, and was recommended on here. Only took an hour to transfer everything from a nearly full 40GB laptop drive to a 100GB laptop drive I think it also sets the new hard drive up as bootable if I remember but the whole thing was seamless for me
