Another 'find me a sff case' thread.

    Straight to the point...

I'm after a sff case to build a semi portable second pc. Preferably in silver/white, and as similar to the SN45G as I can make it since i like the look of that case.
I would like it to be future proof to some extend. Basically I have a C2D e6700 in my desktop and would like to be able to use this processor in the SFF in a year or two when my desktop will probably be upgraded to keep it 'hot'. So socket 775 and C2D compatible is the main requirement. I also need it to have a PCI-E slot so I can use my X800gto that i will soon have lying around.

I understand that SATA II drives are backwards compatible i.e. they can be used on SATA I controllers, so I that really isnt a preference (I have a spare SATA II drive that i will swap into the SFF case.

Onboard audio is preferred but not essential, and onboard video doesnt matter since I will be using another card.

I'm hoping not to spend any more that £150 for the barebones, but if i need to spend more to accomodate my needs then I will.

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Thanks, Rob

The SD32G2 is going to be your best bet - it fills all your requirements, anyway.

It's not stocked at many places - I could only find Aria and ebuyer, and it is cheaper at ebuyer - £197.43 here.

I realise that that's over your budget, but if you want a SFF, you are going to have to spend more.

Alternitavely, if size isn't so much of an issue, you could go for a Sugo or similar. They come without a motherboard or PSU, so when you've added them the price will be similar.

Thanks for your help Jonny. Think i will stretch my budget a bit and go for that one. I like the look of it more than the SN45G too

    cheers
