Name change

I know it's been talked about and discussed before, but that was before LOMAC was out.

So, now it's out do we change the name of the forum?

Suggestions needed for a new name. Myself and the mods are thinking "Hexus Air Combat forum" as suggested by the man with the elastic rope name.

Yeah, change it to "Hexus Air Combat" as I'll hopefully be getting LOMAC soon but for the time being still need to play IL-2: FB.

Plus I can't see all of you guys either sticking to one game over the other as they're both brilliant!

never il2 is the king and represents all in air sim games that is good, its like a seal of quality , a hallmark if u will the name stays u hear it stays.

u call it "Hexus Air Combat" and you will have ppl talking about ms combat sim and other unmentionables

well fine i can see im in the minority ,so what the hell change the name but dont say i didnt warn you when we start seeing threads about other lesser sims

i will remember this defeat and in the battle for the skies will mark you all out as targets and will empty my 37mm cannon into your cockpit or fire a burst of 30mm hog cannon at you without hesitation

Marliuns have their own private forum over at netwings and theres FB and VEF forums over there too. As such, ive stopped posting at gsv and have confined myself to here and netwings.

I can understand a name change to encourage new blood into this part of the forum which is fine. Thing is, do we have anyone with any experience of other sims? I personally haven't played LOMAC, and doubt I will, I'm too much into IL2. Played a fair few heli sims in the past, but other than Commanche 3, there's not much out there for right now.

I wonder if we should just change it to something like "IL2 and LOMAC", as they're both something we all have experience of and can help with as a community.

Of course, I also like 'Flight Deck'... but I'm just biased on that one...

Very good point. The majority of us only seem to play IL2 and LOMAC... so we need something around those...

a forum just for lomac would be unneccesary as there arnt exactly a flood of posts for lomac at the moment , i think The IL-2 and LOMAC Hanger is a decent name to use as zak suggested
