You guys must've heard of him. He was made famous for running out of ammo while engaging Do17s over London during the Battle of Britain.. with a Dornier in his sights he decided to ram it and chopped it's tailplane off... His Hurricane lost most of the port wing and he bailed out.
He landed on a roof and started to slide down off the building when his parachute snagged on something, leaving him with his feet dangling in a dustbin....
Anyways, sometime soon they are going to excavate his Hurri from its resting place near Buckingham Palace... and better still, they're doing it live on TV too.
Ray Holmes is still around, now aged 89 iirc, so it'll be one to watch for sure.
