You wanna see the size of the Midway map, having mostly sea and little/no land allows for much bigger maps - it'd take you all night to fly across it
I'm happy
Holy sheet!
That'd be the speed of the carrier then, eh?Originally Posted by Neil Washbrook
God, I can hardly land these things anyways... goodness knows what its gonna be like at night... during a storm... with a wing shot through...
And of course, bailing wont mean being picked up...
Tho I did see a doco recently about a sub that was tasked to pick up downed pilots and collected 24 out of 20 it was assigned to get...
Yep, that is right, 24... they found some extras along the way... the US got so good at it that ditching wasn't nearly as terrifying a prospect as it started out as.
As long as we dont get the CFS2 feature. There was a percent chance of a cut screen after a bail out that said you had been rescued with a picture of a sub. This happened even if you bailed out miles in land
If i can land a jet on a carrier in lomac these guys should be no trouble.........

Actually it SHOULD be harder Knoxy, smaller propeller driven fighters were much more unstable and jittery than their modern day naval counterparts, the carriers were smaller and far more prone to rolling and pitching.
No ILS, carrier obscured by the nose of the aircraft on finals, and more often than not no opportunity to do a 'bolter' unless you fancy colliding with parked planes
one more for you
Hopefully have some E3 shots at Netwings in the near future
If I EVER suss out how to play the poxy thing.....Originally Posted by Knoxville
