Whats your FAVOURITE plane in Aces?

Ok ive a problem here you see in VEF its the P40 or Mk5 Spit even though my results in Yaks and LA5s are better, but we see less of P40 and Spit so that makes sense.

In VWF depending on mood its P38 for mudmoving
Fighters its a tough call the P51D is an awesome plane and amazing at the Hi Alt DFing and the Spit mk9 welllll what can I say my only problem with that plane is not blacking out in the hi G turns.

But I gotta choose one Narrow it down then

1st off the list P38 I love it for all the reasons stated but I escort move than I shift mud so she is dropped.

Spit Mk9 is a great plane and easy to fly therefore she goes next I like a challange

So left with P51D, MK5 Spit and P40 so next off the list is the P51D awesome plane and if I could only fly 1 plane on DF servers that would win due to the fantastic climb and dive speeds and the massive ammo and fuel load outs.

So left with MK5 Spit and P40.......Ok MK5 the most challanging Spit to fly and one that will really perform over and above its year if you use prop, rads, wep etc turns like a turney thing on turning tablets...or P40...Great ammo load out tricky to fly well in combat but a real BnZ plane...then again the Spit has cannon.

Gawd Zak how can I choose?

For GA its an even split between the survivability of an IL2 and the all out speed of the P38.

For DF its gotta be a Spit clippy or the (yet to be seen in VEF/VWF) Yak 3.... my first love.... actually, I'll just go with the Yak-3 all out for DF.... stick me in one of them and I'm awesome!

I was near saying P51.....but Yak 9 goodness swept across me and I relented to the Yakolev truth....

weird no one has said a Lavochkin yet....those Lagg3's are what I fly in my safe hour, and the LA5 and 7 are superb

But I am MOST pleased to see the IL-2 doing her thing with your hormones Pilots

Winner - P40 - Simply because it was the one that I got my first kill in, and it is one of my most used 1 v 1 planes. (Ahh, that got yer Zakky - thought it was the spit )

you;re right...I guess ed you were a Spit man,. BUT as you say..challege is important. If I can become a force to be recoconed with in a Yak 9 I will have made myself proud

P40 was a Dak plane.....it kinda suits Luke too

The LaGG's are nice birds too, especially the 'beast' IT version
Not sure where I stand with the La5's, sometimes I can fly well and sometimes I can have an absolute mare in 'em, and I've never ever tried the La7

The LA7 is a love it or hate it kind of plane i think. I should be good in it but for some reason I just cannot aim in the things, LA5s are fine and for a long time would have been my first choice in the orginal IL2 along with the P39 a under rated plane in the orginal if ever there was one

My all time favorite is the Fw190, but if you get out of practice with it you get very carp indeed, its a very hard plane to succeed in 1 v 1.

Apart from that I'll settle for the P-38L, fast, great firepower all concentrated into a nice area, and she'll get you home happily on one engine
