I have to agree, look for returns (opened and not as wanted), white box goods, or specials from the likes of Today only. You can usually get your motherboard, processor and ram for less than they would cost individually, however if you have a similar large pc store (not pcworld) locally, then you may want to try there. Always factor in the delivery costs on top.

Personally I would avoid buying second hand componants (CPU, Motherboard, GPU) as you have limited information as to if someone has overclocked the hell out of it first. But with the new Intel and AMD processors just being released, now if your chance to jump in using the new tech, or buy a whole second hand system from someone looking to upgrade...
