I'm a bit late to the party here, but I want to add a few comments.

I used to give everything I found and couldn't use away to lower level players in the guild. I then discovered that one of the items I had given away was being sold on the AH. I had words with the person I gave it to, and it was handled, but it left me with a slightly bad taste in my mouth, especially as it was an item which would have benefitted several people.

There has been a bit of cliquey-ness developed, mainly because different people are progressing faster but that will change as more people progress to the same levels.

Now that I am level 60, my intention is to spend more of my time helping lower level players, although that is likely to be help with professions, as it is very hard to help with levelling up. Please let me know what you need.

As to further co-operation, I've noticed that players are selling items to each other at vendor prices and thats good to an extent. What I would like to see is people giving away items such as fabric (to players of similar levels!) to people who's professions use them. This will benefit you, as that high level tailor can then progress his skill and make stuff for you at cost. The guild currently does not have a high level tailor!

I believe we also have a 'Most Wanted' thread on here, so please edit your posts on that thread to what you currently need so that people who find items can get them to you.

We should also be using this forum more to arrange instances.

Please don't leave Allen! Help us make the guild into one which benefits all!

Its pointless for Mr/Mrs Other because as you all focus on, they get no items or exp; its pointless for Mr/Mrs(Ms, Dr, Prof) Mbody because they don't get the fun of the game.
There is nothing that can be done about that for the reason stated above.

I don't help the low level players because it's NOT FUN, there is no challenge. If i find stuff they can use i pass it on (everything i find now is lvl 40+ requirement), but that's the only help i can give.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Would just like to say if anyone needs leather armour anywhere up to level 260 leatherworking then give me or redpiggy a shout in game and i'll send you some free.
I don't really have the time to do instances anymore but seemingly the best way to arrange it is to bung a thread on here advertising the fact and shamelessly beg and nag people till they go in with you, always worked for me

It is difficult for us slow growers in the guild, but people have helped me loads of times with little bits and bobs and if i have stuff people want I will usually give it away to them or for a minimal charge if it is valuable at my level. I can entirely understand the point of view that a high lvl character plowing through a quest or instance to help a lower level character spoils the game for both people. However adviceand help with professions is always welcome!

Ps i'm graxar in the game!

I'm new to the guild, but TBH, I don't really see what all the fuss is about.

I played as another character on another server (lvl 32 now), and 99% of that I was solo'ing all the way on my own. I gathered that this is a big game, and there's probably no way I will ever finish it, so why rush ahead? I was a member of several guilds, but they never helped any other, and I was never asked for help by players with lower lvls. I did get offered help from higher lvl players, but all I ever wanted from them was equipments, as I didn't want to spoil some of the game experience.

Granted that some instances are hard and needs grouping, but I find that even more challenging. There were times that I did experiment grouping with a player a few lvls higher than me, and he was very happy to grind away for me to get XPs, but I found that tedious, he gets more XPs than me plus at my lvl I wasn't doing much damage to the monsters he was attacking.

Its not a race for people to see who can get to lvl 60 the quickest, its the whole gaming experience along the way. If you want to feel all 'high and mighty' about it, then wait until Blizzard's next batch of WoW hit European shelves and you see so much more 'lowbies' playing.

As for helping others, I'll only do it if the player asking is on the same part of the map as me, I'm not going to go out of my way (away from my quests) to some far off land.

I always view the guild as a big back scratch - ie I'll scratch your back and you scratch mine. I really like the social aspects of the game and so i'm quite happy to help out in groups whenever i can as i know in the future those same people will also help me out. At the same time hopefully i get to know everybody better in the guild too (you all know how nosy i am)

Anyway that was my 2p worth

PS if i ask too many questions just tell me to piss off wont be offended

    My thoughts

This all seems to be blown out of proportion and I would hate for people browsing the forums to get the wrong impression of our guild, the majority of my play time in HH (which due to holidays from work etc is alot!) has been brilliant fun!

I would really hate for a few minor disagreements to overshadow the fun we have in the game, I think we are one of the most friendly guilds on the server and infact the vast majority of us do alot to help each other out.

I recommended HH to my brother and if all goes well with royal mail I inted to bring the wife along aswell as she loves the game and cant wait to be in on all the guild stuff with us.

As for the issue of helping lower members I think in an ideal world these would be my do's/dont's:

    DO'S

Pass along any equipment you cant/wont use - I tend to ask in guild chat and if nobody wants give them to a low level enchanter in the guild.

Pass along cloth/leather/minerals/gems which you nolonger need/use to help lower members with lvling their professions

Help by providing info on NPC's/quests when asked in guild chat

Try and wave/bow/salute when meeting other members (But at the same time be mindfull they may be AFK or not watching the chat box).

Try and make it if you set times to meet other people and if players are arranging instances which you need do you best to go along if you have time

    DONT's

Kill monsters/elites for other players of a lower level - I will qualify this with my reasons, I really enjoyed the struggle of winning against monsters by 2 heath points and I still do. If I am killing things 10 levels below me im making the game more of a sit back and watch for the lower level player who gets dramatically reduced Xp and a crap game experiance

Roll on loot which you arent going to use, if everyone passes then give to an enchanter or failing that you can all /roll 100 for the item in question

This is just a quick list of my thoughts on the subject at the moment, I would like to reiterate for the outside viewer that our guild is one of the best places to learn/play this amazing game!
Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
    But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
    I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly, because you tread on my dreams.

The termoil caused by the leaving of some of our mates , is causing a good thing , namely discution , its always good to talk about the most serious stuff , and ia good to see the real faces of the peeps , becaus pressure always destroys the masks that we all put on.

Atfer this " twister " , the sun will shine again , because then we will know eatch other a lot better , and the guild will be stronger.

That is true. I didn't mean any of my comments to sound like nobody helped anybody.

Certainly for me, as an ex-enchanter, I couldn't afford to keep buying all those items. I needed higher level items to get anywhere but the higher the level, the more expensive. I was really grateful to the few who did actually "give" rather than "sell" the odd item to me though.

Again, may be helpful, but after a while we start running out of money as you sell it on. I know vend prices help a lot but when levelling is so expensive the money soon runs out!

Totally agree with that. I wouldn't ask for any help from someone 20 level's higher than me with an instance or quest as there's no point, but 5 level's above can really help and still gets you exp.

    Amen to that!

It certainly helped me to get a few things off my chest and I noticed a slight change last night already, in myself I mean. We all seemed to have a great laugh and do lots of naked dancing. The racy chat is too much for the forums though, shame really, would be good to see Jane try and get out of what she said!

Oh and I would also like to apologise for some of my comments yesterday and my un-thought out decision to leave. I have already apologised to a few as I don't want any bitter feelings between any of us.
