I don't think that's a problem when finding ores, but I was thinking of 2-3 miners going out together, they would still get the same ammount of ore as if one person went out.

Me (Rentau) and Stoo went out mining before to level up. With the help of TiG we went to many veins and both myself and Stoo had 1 bash at each mine. Didn't get much ore, but we both got a level up from each one.

In that way it could help I suppose...

Yeah, but the people able to mine Thorium are generally able to get ot the areas where they can mine it AFAIK.

Don't know a great deal about arcanite yet. But I know we need it.

RP has helped me get my alch to 272, and I think arcanite transfroming kicks in at 275? So hopefully I will be up and running soon

I think so yes, it's a metal like copper, iron, thorium etc, but it only obtained by transmuting from thorium, which uses an arcanite crystal, and they are hard to find.

Don't get your hopes on making alot of Arcanite. I've only made 2 in total. Plus it has a 48hr cooldown.
