End of HEXUS Horde as we know it

I think that it would be better if there was a giuld forum, rather then a forum that the guild uses. Then anything we like can be posted there, as it's only the guild members reading it.

Just remember your here with 32 posts, a new comer. Your posts are on the whole negative and as such will attract negative responses. Maybe you'll understand that people here don't take likely to those sort of responses.

I may have 32 posts here but this is certainly not the only online community I frequent, nor, I might add, do I feel that postcount reflects worth of an opinion in any way.

My posts aren't negative, they just leave little room for debate, because discussion in forums is what I do. It's also a bit pointless to raise an issue for consideration then abandon it when people find it difficult to come up with reaosnable responses.

Care to point out where I said that HEXUS is a bad place? I've said that it's not appropriate to tie a guild to the forum because of the way the forum needsto operate as a part of the ongoing HEXUS concern, but nowhere have I dissed HEXUS, or the forums, as entities in and of themselves. Feel free to contradict me.

Damn...people spitting hot fire left right and centre . Elrond I do think you could ease up a little so other people can appreciate your opinions more, although I do understand your frustrations when you want to speak candidly. Personally I'm sorry to hear that HH has come to an end but I honestly thought it was inevitable. Even though we're all from the same forum, the main crux of the problem was that various members had different ideas on how a guild should work and in the end a compromise wouldn't be enough. At least now people can go their separate ways and join up with a guild that suits their mentality and style of play. Putting our differences aside I hope we can all play together again and have some fun .

2) Saying threads have the guts ripped out of them by the mods says to me that you think the mods are doing a bad job; perhaps I misunderstood your intent with that comment. You are saying the guts being ripped is a bad thing; hence it follows in my logic that you think the mods are being unfair

3) One answer to that is, I can't, I'd get banned The other is, I would much rather convince you to post "Hey, look whats new in the next patch threads!" than having a flame war; it serves as a distraction from work right now, but no other purpose. I get the feeling that you very much enjoy fighting with words, but I am rather too clumsy a swordsman to do you justice

For the love of god, can we just keep this on the topic I started otherwise I'll be forced to close another thread. The original topic was important as it meant that anyone who wanted to continue HH could do so by requesting become GM, otherwise the guild gets disbanded. Given that no-one has spoken up I'm going to disband it and since I can't even post a thread allowing it to die a dignified death without people throwing their toys out the pram it seems the only solution. Please no more comments about what has happened in other threads, there's no need for it in this thread.

Just wanted to chime in on this because it's absolutely central to the whole issue of HH.

Hexus forums need to be, and are, managed in a way to prevent negative representation of Hexus as a corporate entity. There's no arguing with this, it has to be this way, but because it is a coprorate entity and a guild is a group of people with differing views acting on a voluntary and supposedly democratic basis, in any case a group of people able to effect change and uphold views and values of their own (which will more often than not differ from Hexus) then it is earth shatteringly obvious that without a place to discuss these issues privately, there would be a divorce between Hexus and the guild.

That's not saying that Hexus forums are badly moderated, far from it; people in guilds or clans are still people and sometimes do people things. Hexus open forums isn't the place to discuss them but when the guild in question is based around Hexus then there's little (or no) choice in where these problems are chewed out.

It's inevitable that the guild would split or move out, for the sake of Hexus' impartiality. The good thing is that we all had fun while it lasted.

Its a shame that Hexus Horde has gone to the dogs. I spent many hours playing with friends, many hours of listening to Allens rants on TS its all gone now. To those who've joined other guilds (other than HA) i wish you all the best, and don't forget to wave. To those who have joined HA, bugger, thought i had got rid of you

A sad day as Hexus Horde was my first really good Guild. But it had to be done see you all in game.

when i joined HH i joined with a sound group of people (most of which had come from beta like me) and we had a lot of fun. it just became too big too quickly and destroyed itself.

now thankfull im in a guild comprised of good mates and really good people, and i hope you all find the guilds you were looking for.

Mildly peeved the guild wasn't left to us non-power players so we could carry on with with a bunch of mates and just use the guild as a common gathering point once in a while. I can't imagine everyone got involved in the squabling.

To hand over ownership fo the guild, there has to be the old leader and the new leader online at the same time.

Az gave notice to either hand over the guild or disband.
