End of HEXUS Horde as we know it

I don't want the responsibility of being GM as I don't have the free time. Whilst I have been looking to swell the ranks with more people the fact is that Arathor is a low population server and there aren't enough people to do it. Given the second lot of people leaving in the last few days I think the best way forward is for the remaining members to move en masse to a larger guild. That way we keep the same good people and have easy access to a larger pool for instances.

To this end I have spoken to Hordes Angels and they are happy to accept any HEXUS Horde members into their ranks. To be invited simply speak to avalonking or gonguevar. I organised all this last night with avalonking so there should be no hassle if you explain you're leaving HH. HA have a forum at http://www.arathor.co.uk or so they tell me but I cant find it. If there isnt one I'll suggest they start using this one

The one remaining issue is that I can't leave unless I assign guild leadership to someone else who is online or I disband the guild. I spoke to most of the active members tonight and made them aware of the situaton but basically if someone wants to become guild leader post in here and I will arrange to meet online and transfer ownership. Alternatively, I will disband the guild tomorrow night (Friday) or the next time I am online after that.

We shouldn't look at this as a negative, look at it increasing the amount of fun we can have with the game, something that's been sorely lacking recently. Any questions let me know.

    thanks

I honestly believe no one is glad to be reading this post

However, times have changed - we must move on........

I think those who will be migrating to HA will be happy there, there are currently 96 accounts with 118 charachters, there is always someone to quest/instance with.

Hordes angel are approx 3 players short for molten core. So the addition of fresh blood rising to lvl 60 fast will be welcomed

We do plenty of instances and have private forums, these are found at http://arathor.theice.co.uk/forumdisplay.php?f=27 (private forums, password given on entry to guild)

Well, it is sad, but maybe it needed to happen? With all the recent goings on, the upset caused has left a bitter taste in a few peoples mouths. Those that have left are probably already enjoying doing high level instances with their new guilds, so I suppose (now that we have very few high level chars in our guild) it can only be a good thing for the rest of us and also fair that we start having some fun.

I will be applying for Hordes Angels with Kerilus soon, once I start playing her again. I think it will be my best chance for having a high level char. I have deleted lots of my alts recently, I now have Kerilus (lvl 42), Rentau (lvl 34), Gingernut (lvl 38) and Bouncer (lvl 16) and that's pretty much it.

Maybe I can use these (hopefully) last days of unemployment to get her levelled up a bit? Need to do a bit of catching up it seems.....

This is not unexpected, but still a bummer of a thread to read.

I had expressed last night to Az that it was my intention to leave the guild, probably today. It is a shame that certain things have happpened, but we all need to enjoy the game first and foremeost.

So to all those past and present members of HH, whether I am in your guild or not, I will wave and assist as I play on line.

    Cheers for the good times..............

There's no public section Damn it! I love a good read at work, the more forums the better.

I wish everyone well, wherever they may end up, and I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who provided me with assistance while I was here. I'll see you all around.

These forums will remain open and I have mentioned to HA that they are free to use them if they want. Whether they decide to take us up on that offer is up to them

A sad but sensible decision I think. Whatever the outcome we all still play Arathor and Hexus is a forum we have all enjoyed, which I hope continues. see You all here and in-game.

there's an open section, just not HA specific.

as for using hexus, recent events have proven that stuff which would normally be handled in-house in a guild can't be resolved here because there's no private forum and such discussions have the guts ripped out of them by mods.

If you have that attitude to these forums, why do you keep coming back to stick the boot in a bit more? These are good forums, if you can't stop having a go at them, go somewhere else. That has NOTHING to do with WoW just your general negativity. Comments like that help nobody; if you have issues with the forums raise them with the mods privately, but stop bashing everything in public - freedom of speech is well and good, but you can't write a critique of the Guardian in the Guardian and expect them to pay the publishing costs.
    Well Hello!

Sad really. Not sure I can be bothered to transfer TBH. Are the HA really keen and insist on constant play? I just don't have the time, or internet connection at present, to do that.

    ON topic:

Very sorry to see the end of a Guild that looked after me from the opening night of WoW to level 60 and beyond. Wish everyone much enjoyment going on in whatever guild they do or do not go into.

    A few points here:

    1) I come here because my friends come here, IF you don't like it, you know what you can do
    2) No
    3) Nobody asked for your opinion on my "negativity"
    4) I've already raised my concerns with certain mods
    5) I'll bash what I like and there's sod all you can do about it apart from requesting for my posts to be deleted, but I'll still bash what I like
    6) If hexus is so fantastic how come it can't take a little bit of criticism? How come randoms like you feel the need to spring to the forums' aid? AAAAAH but you're not a random, are you, you have a distinct bias in this matter

Generally, my views are my own and you don't have to read them if you don't want to, so wind your neck in.

no mate, they are quite casual, and there are players at all levels of ability too. HH welcomed me with open arms and one or two, Az particularly as well as ERU and Madocks of course, really helped me out, but I didn't exactly have anyone at a comparable level to quest with ...

    Elrond,

its strange that feel the need to so vehemently defend your own points. Is it you that maybe should learn to accept criticism?.

Just remember your here with 32 posts, a new comer. Your posts are on the whole negative and as such will attract negative responses. Maybe you'll understand that people here don't take likely to those sort of responses.

Just for clarification, there is (and has been for a while) a private forum for WoW in HEXUS and it was used for discussions amongst officers. The forum threads were removed because people were resorting to slagging matches, not because we were trying to hide anything

    1) and I don't see your friends bashing the forums, just you
    2) agreed, thats for the mods and you to decide; however if all you are going to do is say that Hexus is a bad place, the most sensible place to go would be somewhere that this is not the case.
    3) nobody asked you to ruin what was a very positive, forward looking thread with snide remarks
    4) fine then, why not wait for their response and and live with the result rather than continuing to upset people
    5) again, fine, but think about this: You are doing yourself no favours with anyone
    6) Hexus can take as much criticism as it wants; this isn't Hexus defending itsself, this is me defending Hexus. You say I have a bias in this matter: please, tell me what bias? I believe I have remained as impartial as possible in this whole thing. I stand by my actions in and out of game; if you have a criticism of me to make, please, go ahead.
    Well Hello!
