err i didn't diss dabs, i was just stating that from my previous experience with aria i have found them to be superb, 100% of the time i might add (for myself) i have never seen a bad review written about them, as for dabs...

^^ what he said...
It;s all down to personal experience I guess.. but basically every comapny has problems.. and I for one have never had any problems with Dabs.. and shall q happily order from them again.
You guys can get too caught up in this its a reliable company stuff sometimes.. the comnpany is only as reliable as the person that sticks the stamp on your envelope.. and pple change jobs all the time.
Save your money.. or better still send me the 3 quid..
In fact if you both order unecassarily from the more expensive place,, then could you both send me 3 quid?
i tried the X-45 and absoloutely hated it! i cant use a joystick that doesnt have a twist rudder function anyway but most importantly i thought it was tacky and awkward to use, the build quality was not good....
at the moment i have a logitech cordless freedom 2.4 which is ace quality but just not as functional as i would like, its hard having to rely on the keyboard for a lot of functions. Theres a very noce throttle & stick called cougar & i think im gonna get this soon

ahh yes clingy was thinking of that but due to the possible indentation in the walls, we had to stop him from buying it :D
lol - well i just ordered it
hmmm........ I didn't realise the X-45 didn't have a twist grip.
Looking at the Cougar stick Amazon has it listed at $249.
Maybe I can live without a twist grip :)
It looks good - but $249 for a joystick! For that I could buy an x-45 and a set of rudder pedals; and have money to spare for beer!
well it costs 270gbp here............. but damn its a nice stick ;)
I hate twist grips meself - too loose :(
The X-45 does me, don't like the look of that one though^
You look at your Joystick?......
:p
I've got a monitor for looking at...
looks good, feels great but can have a lot of problems.Quote:

i can still cancel and change my mind? so advice would be appreciated
I saw a detailed analysis recently about these. The X45 build quality is not as good as the cougar and CH. But many regular flight jocks recommend changing your stick every year. This is quite possible with the price of the X45. The cougar needs to be serviced annually (in Holland I think), which certainly adds to the cost. So it could be
1) Cougar - Serviced annually.
2) A new X45 each year.
hmm, looking on the aria website mine aint been sent to citylink yet, means i wont get it before 2morrow at the earliest, ahh well.Quote:

Without ffb u learn to notice other elements in the planes behaviour, ive played with ffb and ive noticed u can "feel" the stall coming, it shakes a certain way. without it (like im having to do at the moment) u can hear this coming, also u can see the wingtips smokin a little when ure on the edge. I think u will be able to live without it, ive never had a ffb joystick / wheel, in gpl i was a fine racer often winning races, in fb ive yet to fulfil my early potential :D
