The throttle slides in a flat plane rather than arcing as the Cougar & Saitek do (I prefer arcing) & it doesn't have rotaries.
If you use an all CH USB setup (stick, throttle, rudders) then their software can make them appear as 1 device for older games that don't support multiple controllers.
CH are bringing out a multi-throttle quadrant in the Spring.
You should read the forums at Cougar's world.
There have been quite a few defections to CH recently with people just plain fed up with their Cougars & who couldn't/wouldn't pay the same again to get the modifications to make the stick work as they feel they should have in the first place.

I have both a Saitek X36 & CH throttle & Fighterstick.
The CH is better but in no way is it 4x better (which is what it costs) but if you want to fly older sims without multiple controller support & use rudder pedals under XP then the Saitek can't do it.
