    Compact Camera

Right my mum had her camera lost/half inched so she has got my old Nikon Coolpix S6 on 'extended loan'. So I would like something else. Do not want to spend loads on one as I would use the D90 for stuff, just want a chuck in your pocket and go camera. I know compacts are not the best in low light, but something which handles this well would be good. Looking at £150 as max top end. I have thought about either the Nikon Coolpix S560 or the Panasonic DMC-FS7. Canon just seem to be too much for what they are.

    Thoughts?

    Re: Compact Camera

Yup, agreed. Canon used to have this spot sorted with the old A series, but I think they changed it when the A cameras were stealing sales from their higher ends.

    Re: Compact Camera

The Leica lens is really good, although on some sample shots there was some vignette on it ... However I guess once exposed to an SLR everything else seems rubbish!

    Re: Compact Camera

    Yep

You could forget about getting the best IQ possible and go for something a DSLR can't beat - compactness - and try something like a Canon IXUS 85.
