    Re: Mirror-less Canon Compact

If what I have read is correct, a drawback for me is the lack of 1080/50/60p video. It looks like a fantastic camera and the adapter is half the price of the metabones smart adapter for the E-Mount. Plus the lenses are build for that crop factor.

From real work experiences of people here (in Japan) with these types of camera...they stick on one lense, fit all the accessories they can and that's it. I get some "nerd!" looks when I switch between my 19mm and 50mm prime. Would love to put the 70-200 F2.8 Canon lense on my 5N body...

Hopefully Canon won't fudge this mirrorless compact like Fuji did with the X-Pro 1.

Competition is good, so hopefully it'll speed up Sony releasing more E-Mount lenses.

Once it's released, I'll have a play in the Canon shop here.

    It's a camera, not a camcorder

Seriously though, are there many large sensor cameras that do 1080/60 at the moment? Perhaps they're saving it for the updated model

1080p and 60fps? I have not seen one...well not a consumer / prosumer Canon body.

I'm sure 1080p/60 will trickle down the Canon range from the Canon 1D C in due course. Until then the Sony NEX range is the better choice.

The 1D C isn't even out yet, and is going to cost around ten grand..

But yes, if you want to shoot videos, a sony is better for a camera :/

I got my hands on it! Muwhahahaha....

Actually, the Canon showroom has the battery removed so we couldn't try it out. It feels nice to hold and is quite light as an overall package. The zoom ring on the kit lense feels quite nice, but it feels a little tight towards the 18mm and 55mm range. Just my 2p.
