    Sub£80 Digital Camera

Im off to Uni in a fortnight, and ive been told i CAN NOT take the family camera (Optio S5i)
    - But that i can have any camera i like for under £60.

So in after a £80 digital camera. (im sure i can find £20 somewhere)
    - Its gota an all right one, and as small as possable.
    - Also, i would serously consider 2ndhand, as long as its good cond.

Just wondered if anyone recently bought a camera along these lines, and what the bought and why.

what do you want it for? just random shots, then any of the smallish ones that are around that price range will do - i'd personally take a look at the teeny sony ones from ~2 years ago - only 2mp (but that is plenty for snapshots) and absolutely minute..

Yeah, just random shots at uni, and if i go somwhere for the w/end or whatever.

    - Also, it must have a macro/close up mode, as i take a lot of pics of closeup things.
    - And 2/3x optical zoom would be great
    - And flash.

I'll have a look at the sony ones, even tho i had the company with a passion

    - Somthing like this one LINKY

they did smaller ones than that..

make sure the startup speed on whatever you get is quick - and the shutter lag speed is good too - these will both help ya get better shots..

Smaller than that? - But did they have optical zoom?

    - And i also note the point about startup speed.

lol sorry to say this but £80 is a very low price to expect to get a decent camera with optical zoom and little shutter lag etc

Search ebay for refurbished (title and description), I had a reconditioned nikon off ebay a while ago, came with a years nikon warranty. Just make sure the seller is uk based. What about an Olympus D-545 4MP Digital Camera item 7548705905 £85ish inc. Or a Nikon 3100 for £97inc. Also make sure you search ebay shops, you have to click the link at the bottom of the screen

For gods sake man You'll be spending un-earthly amounts of money on booze at uni, probably all the time! Soooo just calm it a bit in the first few months and put some towards a better camera. Best I can find that's any good Sub £140 is the Cannon A510 @ Dabs!

Or the Canon PowerShot A410 Silver @ ebuyer for £99

Or the Casio QV-R61 6.3mp Digital Camera @ ebuyer for £134

Komplett have a B-Grade Minolta DiMAGE Z10 3.2MP, 8x opt. zoom, 16MB for £99 but its a bit sh1t looking! Looks aren't everything though. Even the ugliest cheapest hookers can give you a good night!

ps. Dabs actuallly have a B-Grade DSC-P200 Cyber-shot 7.2 @ £189 which is actually a very good bargain but outta your price range tight wad!

Hope it helps anyways afterall I wanna see pics of these lurvly University ladies you meet!

Empire Direct Plenty more cameras here well below £80 so theres enough for beer, a hooker and maybe you can treat her to a kebab afterwards and still have some lovely photos of your night together.

Dont ignore 3mp cameras, they are perfectly capable of taking photos that are difficult to distinguish from film.
