    New Camera - Ricoh Caplio R5 **56k**

I finally got me a new camera (after the missus took hers away for the weekend and I needed one ).

It's pretty awesome for Macro work which is what I need it for for reviews of hardware etc

Couldn't afford DSLR, but this seems pretty sweet

Here's a couple of pics I took (click for non-windows resized pics):

7 x Zoom on my ATST (old, well-loved and grubby ATST )

    Macro of my ATST

Macro shot of my Cuban lobster

    Normal shot of ATST

Normal shot of my wooden cuban lobster

And something you may well be seeing soon:

    Macro of a review product

    What do y'all think?

Anyone have any suggestions on what else I could do for a better picture? I think they're pretty good but there's always room for improvement

I have macro's enabled on those I have said. I chose F3071 (7MP) and have the anti-blur feature enabled on the camera (it makes a hell of a lot of difference, much clearer when I don't use my tripod)

apart from that it's set to clear the edges of the picture up, I think flash was used in the normal shots, can't remember tho

nice shots glad your enjoying your new toy

i'd have a lamp pointing at each side of your light tent, and bring your subject 6" more away from the curve if you have room..

Thanks Bobster. I really need some more lights but having a hard time finding some that don't take the mic on price

was thinking more along the lines of a desk lap, the ones with the bendy neck - by shining onto the outside of the tent, you'll be defusing the light going through
