Hex - certainly an idea, and one which I shared having just written to my own MP.

Maybe it would be worth me sending another letter and see what he comes back with?
I'm still thinking about what it might contain and the direction I will take, ideas are welcome.
HEXUS FOLDING TEAM It's EASY
To be fair, your first letter was a little bit "I know better than you", which is probably what got his back up. It still doesn't excuse his response and if I were you, I'd see whether your local paper would be willing to print your letter, and his response.

This is bunny and friends. He is fed up waiting for everyone to help him out, and decided to help himself instead!
If your MP things thats offensive.....I suggest you string him along a bit more
Isn't there a rule where they have to reply to letters?
I'd write one back, dissecting his points one by one, but keep it professional. Point out that if you voted for him or not is irrelevant, he is still representing you.
Oh and then go to the papers. Even if they ain't interested, you've lost nothing.
Its that exact kind of attitude that has got Labour where it is.
yeah they legally have to replay to any letter from a constiuent that they recieve....
LOL thats great, send the tard a link and explain the hexus right to reply
At least your MP actualy read the letter and made some attempt to reply to the points you made.
I wrote to my MP a while back opposing the the "3 strikes" proposal for kicking file sharers off the net. So as not to sound like a complete hippy, I prefixed the letter with something along the lines of "of course there should not be a free for all, but lets have balance". My MP must have only read the first sentace because he wrote back along the lines of "I am glad you agree with tory party policy which is [...]" which was more or less exactly what the BPI was asking for."
Personally I can cope with MPs havening different views from me, as after all they have to represent everyone. I do expect MPs to read letters in full though, and to be able to defend their point of view and voting record with reasoned argument. (Not blindy following opinion polls of chavs whipped up by the Daily Mail)
I do think your MP was unreasonably rude though.
no wonder the BNP are getting more votes than he is
I would definitely go to the papers with it mate.
