i think if we ever do make contact they will never be met peacefully.... as it has been said bush and blair would shoot them with no hassle........ why??...... because they are afraid of what power the aliens have.... i think it would be amazing if we ( earths populaton ) could co-exist with another planets life form.. to travel to different planets and learn about another planets cultures

who knows the aliens might be exaclty the same form as us.. and live in world similar to us

its always a good subject to talk on... go for hours discussing this....

If aliens manage to come to our planet, they will have had to have more advanced technology than us to get here, and George Bush or whoever is American president if and when they come will try to kill them. But how about if we cant kill them, what if they are invulnerable?
On the other hand, we could be the aliens to them. We could be the people visiting their planet. We could be the invulnerable ones, as they wouldn't have the technology to kill us, only able to kill things on their planet.
The possibilities are endless, but I doubt that we are alone in this huge expanding matter that we call the universe.

Bush and Blair aren't going to have fk all say if aliens visit the planet. I think you'll find that civil unrest would keep them busy.
Our world couldn't cope with aliens at the present - i mean fs we can't even cope with asylum seekers without unrest, why would aliens be any different?.

If someone has come here from light years away there technology means they would have a decent energy source which would make them more than capable of wiping us out without easy.

Also, the fact they are likely to be a squilion miles away and the probability of them finding us is atom in hay stack scenario

I am tired of hearing "ah but if aliens existed they would have found there way to us by now" absolute b0**0x

Our galaxy would take thousands of years to cross and is comparitively tiny compared with others in the universe. Also whos to say that they would be advanced enough to reach us anyway (science fiction bull)

Another thing why is there this movie image of an alien? if there is life out there i should imagine that it looks nothing like a 'grey'

I'm certain that there're other intelligent life forms out there. The problem for people who want proof of such life forms is that the window of communication is relatively small... Consider that the human race has only managed send signals into space in the past 100 years (or less) out of over 600 million years of having relatively advanced life forms on the planet. And if we assume that there is a finite time for a civilization between technologically advanced enough to send and detect signals from out of space and its destruction, it may be the window is just too small for us to find out for definite.

I do think there is something out there however. I mean, how can our planet be the whole in the universe with life on it? It seems impossible that we are alone!

What about the <MiB> concept? what if 'aliens' were already here? i think if aliens were to come to our planet it would be for hostile reasons, well if a fleet came, or if their culture needed our planet to carry on existing. it would be impossible to co-exist, cos too many thick headed individuals out there would straight away aim the cannons.
