    How far can/should ebay go?

We often hear about strange things being sold on ebay, but how far should people be allowed to go?

Here is a link about a man selling himself as a friend on the site :
    http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/uk...00/3616166.stm

I haven't been able to find a link on ebay for this, so if anyone can get it, I'd be most grateful .

Anyway, I don't see how this would work. Yeah, you can email people etc, but people will only be your friend if they want to be. You can't buy friendship. I bet after this guy has brought his friend, the firendship will continue after the month is over .

Whoever buys this will buy a virtual escort. If someone wants a girlfriend for an evening they can hire an escort. Seems like exactly the same situation but without sexual favours. I wonder if whoever buys this can request their money back if the friendship stops after one month. As if you don't care enough to continue friendship then you didn't care in the first place. And if you didn't care then what kind of friendship is that? Its a fraud!

The link you gave me is not the guy that I found. For a start, the person I found was male and called stewart the one you found is female.
