Just wondered...has he won this time? Officially and properly? Has he actually had more votes this time than the opposition? It would be a first wouldn't it?
Cos he didn't win last time. His Dad scared the other kids in the Play Ground away....

Why would Kerry admit defeat before the votes have all been counted?
Because even with all the possible remaining votes in his favour he still couldn't win.

Oh, I was just going by the BBC map thing which has had a difference of 2 colleges since about 12 this afternoon.
Yes he has officially won
Kerry conceded after bush won ohio

Caged....lets not pretend...
If Mr Bush Snr wants his son in power...which he does...he'll simply threaten to Sue Everyone if Kerry asks for a recount....
he did it last time.
Go to -> http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/shared/spl/h...ml/default.stm
its a good map....at the top is a Tab for Past Elections....hit it.
It has a slider bar along the bottom...allowing you to see previous Results.
Look at 2000.
Bush Popular Votes: 50,456,002
Al Gore Popular Votes: 50,999,897
Winner...BUSH!
He's been in power for 4 years....and he lost.
Sort it out in your head....I can't...and nor can www.michaelmoore.com

Mr Bush has a Drink Driving Conviction...and his wife attempted to "smuggle" $19,000 or jewelry into the country without paying tax. Mr Bush had a "coke habit" which involves possession....but he's ok to be the President.

"Stupid White Men" by Michael Moore. I am half way through. My mind...a thing already boggled ...is further boggled
Either way.....be afraid. George W Bush can only be in power this one last time. He cant run three times....so whatever he does now....he wont have to tidy up next time
be afraid....be very afraid.

All that talk about Florida last election. Well the Floridians had a chance to reclaim their vote and look - they voted Bush.
Can't sort it out? The American people just voted for Bush. They wanted him. Bottom line.
Please quit with the whining.

The popular vote and electoral college vote has gone with Bush. He's won on both counts; I might wish this weren't so, but there it is. Just so's we're clear on this, it is ALSO perfectly possible for someone to lose the popular vote and win the election here in the UK, it just doesn't happen very often. It's happened twice post-war; in 1951 when Labour polled more votes but ended up with 26 fewer seats than the Tories, and in February 1974 when the Tories polled higher but ended up with 4 fewer seats. It happens.
However, the fact that it happens doesn't mean that people are debarred from saying that they are unhappy about or worried by the result. So Galant? Stop trying to hush people; we don't quite have a Patriot Act over here yet, so we're allowed a little dissent, OK?
I don't mind comment, but I find it annoying when people start tossing around talk of conspiracies and corruption and cheating or whatever.
