    Well said.

How many of us with half a brain have even considered dressing as a Nazi party member 'for a laugh' ?

Just a show of hands will do.

It was a bit dumb of him, but what about 'ello 'ello, the classic comedy TV show? What about dads army, carry on films etc. They all dress dessed up as nazi's for a laugh. And what about some of the comedies where people have dressed up as bin laden or sadam? thats far more likely to offend the people who are still involved with those conflicts right now or have lost families very recently? It's a cheap typical we have nothing better to right about trashy Sun story. I find the outcry over this well over the top and extremely hypocrital of people.

"It's political correctness gone mad!" i tell you.

Damn that Harry. I was just preparing my Faux Moral Outrage rant to send off to the Eastern Evening Trash and he goes and spoils it by saying sorry.

They don't cost actually cost us anything. The Royal List is around £36 million. Income from foreign tourism is around £700 million. I don't think they are all coming for the weather

Exactly, the Sun was short of something to put in the paper so they dug this up. Now they've lit the fire, they're stoking it. 150 000 plus people died at once a couple of weeks back and now the country is foaming at the mouth because Harry put on a Nazi uniform for a fancy dress party. Personally I think that they make pretty good fancy dress costumes. I've not yet heard of anyone suddenly coming down with a heavy dose of anti-semitism from wearing such a costume.

Harry should have told the Sun to grow up and shove it's copy where the sun doesn't shine. I for one am fed up of these [newspaper reporters] hypocrites beeing our moral judges, Especially when many of them have the morals of a sewer rat.

Perhaps if he went as a Roman centurian no one would have said anything. But the Romans carried out enormous atrocities, slaughtering cities down to and including the domestic animals, or a Domonican priest?.....nope....we forgot the inquisition. In short many things can send a message if you want to read a message into it.

Well sh1t, if we're going to get into moral relativism, as many people die in Africa in a single week from hunger as died in the (one off) tsunami disaster. Does anyone give a f*ck about that? I do actually, but not enough to give up my luxurious western lifestyle in order to redistribute some wealth to people who could really use it. I gave £15 to the Tsunami appeal (considerably more than the average British citizen). I tend to spend more than that in the pub every Saturday, even though I consider myself to be poor by the standards of the country as a whole.

The point is that I know I'm a selfish western b*stard who does effectively sod all to help out people poorer than me. Who the hell am I to complain about what Harry does with his life and with the money he's inherited which he's done nothing to earn?

I just think that the civil list is a load of b*llocks and should be abolished. If the Royal Family actually care about being the Royal Family they have plenty of money to maintain themselves where they are now. If they're not bothered they could all give it all up. While we're paying them to be Royal though, we have a right to criticise them for whatever reason we want to. But sh1t, in an age where Tony Blair acts as if he's accountable to no-one, who's going to hold the Royal Family to account?

    Rich :¬)

LOL, I can't believe so many people got worked up about this. I for one couldn't give a flying monkies what some so-called-Royal git wore to a party. Why the heck should I care?

TBH though, I couldn't care much about any of the Royal Family. I can't see what the point of their existance is.

Allen, I think a lot of people got worked up simply because the media has told them to. The media set the stage and every man and his dogin public life thinks that they have to jump on the band wagon or be seenas some kind of anti-semite or something. The Sun has found some mileage in it and has continued to stoke the fire in order to sell more copy.

Like youI couldn't give a stuff about the royals and think they are largely irrelevant. Which makes this whole thing even more farcical.

To be honest I feel a bit bad for him, there are a probably a few reasons why he did it. One could be to purposely miff off the media or it could be a cry for attention. The media is so focused on William and how wonderful he is.
I cant believe people were actually worried if he could be "evil"
He's allowed to make mistakes, after all, he's only human. The media are saying this will "never be forgotten" *sigh*
There's a thin person in every fat person.....that's because they just ate them.

    Ridiculous.

So what, who cares what he wears, when he wears it. I bet half the people who are up in arms are wearing nazi underpants and secret supporters hiding their own shame anyway. ITS FANCY DRESS ffs.

The UK has become to media-hype, its getting like america and its getting annoying. I'm beginning to think the monster raving loony party is the only one with sensible policies these days... (whatever happened to them anyway?)

the media needs to get a life. My other half was getting depressed then I changed her homepage to www.google.co.uk instead of bbc news. She's happier now...

We used to be able to have a laugh about things as a country, whatever happened to that? As Basil would say "Don't mention the war..."

Yeah, but it's your tax money subsidising his life of partying. I'd rather have those few pence back TBH, I might decide to give it to starving Africans.

Having the Royals cost's piss all these days - probaly less per year than what we spend in Iraq in a day (which in fact Charles is well against and respect to him for that). Also, the amount they generate in tourist revenue from fat yanks alone is estimated as being way more than they cost. They also can help in diplomatic situations where countries are warmer to out Royals than or war-mongering government.

Right... i hate having to always disclaimer my posts. But if don't Rave will jump down my neck, over-quote me and moan like i just shoved a fire cracker up his ass and called him mum a ho ... I am not a royalist, I don't give a monkeys testi for them. But they do have thier uses and are not much of a burden on us. I say keep 'em for now. This country need's a bit of character. Otherwise we would just be another EuroState(tm) .

Even though I don't really care for the Royal Family, they are just normal people in my eyes, are you saying that they, as human beings, aren't allowed to have any time off or go to party's?

They can do what the hell they like for all I care, and to that matter, they can wear whatever they want. Just wish the media would stop making such a big mountain out of a mole hill coz there's more important stuff out there I wanna be reading about.

I went to a halloween party with a pillow case as a ghost head but looked more like a member of the KKK, was no big deal really.
