BBC overhaul planned : good or bad news ?

Looks like the BBC is about to be put in a bag and shaken into the 21st Century.

Personally this is a good plan as over the last few years the BBC has been somewhat flagging with only BBC3 being a success recently with little britain and monkey dust and a few other "unknown" programs being their jewels of the crown.

So folks, is this a good or bad move by the government?
