    Perspective

    Just a thought.

The IRA bombed and murdered it's way around UK and Europe for around 30 years. Upwards of 3000 people died. Some weeks several attacks were reported of varying sizes and impact. Who remembers the lorry bomb in the city? The next day people were at their desks clearing out the glass and carrying on.

We've lived with 'not if but when' since 9/11.

It's taken Al Quaeda 4 years to strike.

Ok, it may just be the start of a campaign but I for one won't be scared off from using the tube.

I've always said that I'm not going to worry about being blown up, and I'm still not. However, it was very rare for the IRA not to give a warning- I can only think of the pub bombings, Brighton bomb and the Aldgate bomb. They never set off four bombs without warning with the specific intent of killing civilians.

There was that rather nasty horse gaurd bomb as well and a whole lot of their bombings went unreported with d-notes etc. My old man was close to several that went off and went unreported as he was a telephone repair man at the time but he carried on as usual. Slightly bugs me that we now treat those terrorists as politicians but what can ya do.
