    Yes, you buy an XP license. If you own the license then you can use whatever CD you like to run the install.

    My SP 1 2k3 CD has "unlicensed software" written about a dozen times on it!

    But again, slipstreaming is something a user SHOULDN'T have to do. Hobiests go for it, home users shouldn't ever have to know what that means.
