i find it irritating that you feel qualified to comment on subjects about which you clearly know nothing or very little. your comments on determinism and logic show a very basic understanding (and even some major misunderstanding with regards to logic) and it seems you have heard or read a little and built up the rest on the basis on personal assumption or what you would like these areas to represent.

How exactly are YOU more qualified, what makes your statements more correct than mine (apart fromarrogance of course )? I find it funny that you have the same perspective I do, to me you seem to know very little, the difference is I tend to be self depracating and have actually stated what my "qualifications" are re economics. As for determinism and logic what qualifications would I require before I was allowed to voice an opinion on them? And could you act a bit more maturely and actually point out my mistakes and why they are so rather than throwing around generalised belittling insults? How will I learn if you don't teach me?

You may have some good knowledge but your debating skills are quite poor! I agree with Superscaper on his last point, you dont have to have qualifications in certain subject to be allowed to voice opinions on them. Also looking on how you have conducted yourself through this thread anyone would think that you were the extreme one!

Superscaper and I may have different veiws or opinions but Im sure that we could sit over a drink and have a good chat about any subject and in the end agree to either disagree or be more understanding of each others differences, with you on the other hand I dont think I would be able to sit quietly through the barrage of insults that you would probably be throwing.

You lost any chance of engaging me with your knowledge when your desperation to be right turned into insults.

Knowledge is power but real wisdom is attained through understanding.

Have to agree with true786's last post. Why should I take anything posted seriously when right from the very first post it has been pretty much just a barrage of thinly veiled (excuse thread pun) insults with no argument at all.

I never said that it was a phd in philosophy. My phd is in organic and nanoelectronics. I think it says a lot about you that I make simple truthful statement about myself and you call me a liar.

Oh well, I can easily prove I'm doing a PhD but not without giving my personal details and of course considering your attitude so far I'm not likely to do that. I guess at least to me it confirms the kind of person you are and puts all the posts in the proper perspective, ie very little if any value.

See how easy it is to accuse people of being things without having the slightest clue about them. For all I know you may be the nicest person in real life with a Nobel prize. But I don't know you so I'm not really going to accuse you of being anything except for pointing out the rudeness of some of your posts. Looking over the posts I've actually given quite a few specific details about myself whereas you've not given anything at all. That's up to you, you can be as vague about yourself as you want, but if you are saying that I can't talk about things I'm not qualified for it's only fair to state your qualifications for the statements you've made.
