Hi,
You don't need to take out your motherboard to add a new graphic card. Just disabled and on-board graphics and put the new graphic card in it's slot
Craig.
Just a tip. Depending on your motherboard you will need a different connectors (usually PCI-e or AGP, though PCI often the only connector on small motherboards). Once you find out what type you have you'll need a graphics card that uses the same type. We can give you advice on what card to get if you tell us what you use your computer for, your budget, and the connector.
This is so much the wrong forum, I'm not going to move it, I'm going to leave it as the benchmark 'its the wrong forum' post.
A perfect example. Well done sir.
Easy guys, the guy is a new user so how about helping him out?
Not a great first impression of Hexus if people flame him/her for making a simple mistake. We've all been the 'New Guy' and needed a prod in the right direction.
Ok have it your way.
*Fires up the cattle prod*
But yes, quiet right - Sir Mikie, this is a current affairs and political discussion forum, and therefore not the correct place for motherboard questions.
You guys scared him off. Sorry Mike, they aren't normally like this. There are friendly people here, really.
