Arrow The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

This is a totaly outstanding case with everything you will need:
    screwless design
    great cooling
    unique case design
    great lighting
    Aluminium front door
    230mm fan on side panel
    Front USB and Audio
    front mirror effect

everything you will need for everyday computing, and gaming!

    specs from jeantech:

As you can see this case is a unique case with all of its own features! it has a shiny Aluminium front door with a blue glow to finish off the great affect.

you can see the side panel has some similarities with the Jeantech Shark case. This design looks to be very successful as there isnt many cases with 230mm fan on the side, this will litteraly cool the whole case! This idea also makes the pc case look abit like a speaker design mod.

the back panel is like all standard cases but this one has a slot for a 120mm fan which would be great for exhaust air flow.

when the front door is opened it shows all 5 of the 5.25" drive bays and 2 of the 3.5" bays, is also reveales the mirrored affect at the bottom reflecting the usb and audio ports!

this is a picture of the huge 230mm fan, it has built in blue leds which give it a great mod affect

when the side panel is opened you can see the screwless slots for the front 5.25 drives, the pci slots, and you can also see the great harddrive cage made for easy swap harddrive and great harddrive cooling from the front of the case, the cage also has a screwless design!

here is a closer picture of how the screwless mechanism works, all you have to do is push it backwards which will open it, slide your cd drive in the close and lock it, thats all you do, this saves a great amount of time.

    conclusion

in conclusion i think this is a great addition to Jeantech, and they have certainly made a great model. but there are some drawbacks, there is no window on the side panel to show your mod inside, it looks abit plain (but for some people plain cases are good) . overall i would give it 85%.

i have been told by Jeantech that this case will be out in many pc part stores including PcWorld and many more.

    thank you

One of their designers is obviously a fan of leaving the side off the case & using a desk fan methinks A tried & tested technique I still favour They've just gone & integrated it. Similar peinciple to the A-Plus Case Monalise & Twin Engine.

Top review chap, short, sweet & to the point.

'Reader reviews Let us know what you think of something you have bought in your own review here in the HEXUS.community'

Why would you have a second model of a Jeantech case in for review shortly if you are buying the items yourself?

You are buying the items yourself right?

As if you are in some way representing Jeantech then thats not playing ball with the purpose of this forum...

By the way you write the last line it looks like Jeantech suppplied you with them.

The way you talk about them is both suitably biased towards products you seem to like 'alot'.

Not only that but your username isn't the most obscure out there.

    how noisy is it?

to me, it just looks like a rather meh case with a big fan.

MD: it could just be that he has friends at jeantech.

He has a point about stealth advertising, you never know if it's a Jeantech employee or just a chap who likes reviewing his own kit
Good punter reviews are few & far between tho & should indeed be encouraged.

@UltraMagnus, its not very noisy, but it has to make some noise with the big fan.

Re: The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

I have a complaint about this case, its that the light at the front is actually connected to the connector inside the case via another connector (??) ... yeah like, what this means is that if you tug on the power connector in the case hard enough you can pull apart the connector , its the same type of connectors as the hdd and power led's from the motherboard... and the thing is this connector just happens to be inside the front panel, you have to somehow take the front of the case off ... i havent gotten around to doing it yet, you have to somehow push at all 6 of the clips that hold the front panel on at the same time...

I am thinking about getting one of these cases as a start to my new PC build,I want to build a quiet PC so need to know if the side panel fan is quiet,is it very audible?

Re: The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

yes, the big fan is totally totally quiet, it works and it wont let you down...

but seriously tho, even to this day i cant get the front panel cover light to come on again, i've tried alot of times to pop open the front to reconnect the wire but i just ended up giving up... so remember kids dont tug any wires away from the case you might regret it

Re: The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

Got a Luna case today ( Sunday ) from my local PC World and also picked up an LG DVD writer for £25-£10 off, just need to get the rest on-line.

Been waiting weeks for PC World to get some Luna's in, had none anywhere and still dont,I got fed up waiting and asked if I could buy the one on show LOL,got £10 off and the case is spotless no scratches. I notice Novatech are supposed to be getting some in later today ( Monday ).The only other place I seen it was Eclipse but I dont trust them.
    Its a great case

Re: The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

My Luna case came with a low power supply just for lighting up the case as it was on show in the store so I plugged my power cord into it last night to see it light up, ( not got a new PSU yet ),and was dissapointed how loud the side fan is.I am going to build a quiet PC so I am going to have to customise it somehow as I like the case and want to keep it.

Like I said there is a low power supply in it and the fan must be connecting straight to it as there is no Motherboard or anything else. When I fit a Motherboard and connect the fan to it will it perhaps slow down the fan and be quieter? Thats if the fan has different speeds.

Or could I go and get a quieter 230mm and fit that? Failing that I would probably need to disconnect the fan and fit a 120mm fan in the rear.

I cant find the spec for the fan do you know what speed it runs at and what dB its meant to be?

Re: The latest case from Jeantech called the LUNA !

what kind of sound are you hearing, is it the fan itself or the air its pushing? my fan is very very quiet when i plugged it into a proper psu, so either the power supply that you were using was overvolting the fan and cause it to run at a very high speed, or the fan is badly worn down and the bearings are crunching on each other...

It does sound a dodgy to review two cases under a 'reviewman' name...still, wil give you the benefit fo the doubt.
This case looks reasonable, the other one your reviewing was pretty dodgy to be honest :/
