the caviar black which is slightly faster than the f3 but only slightly http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1tb-w...64mb-cache-8ms

the ft03 only comes with one 2.5" bay and three 3.5" bays (one of which is hot swappable)

I'd not be too worried about gpu, a gtx570 should last you a good while yet.
BTW that card doesn't have the 10year warranty, it's 3years

Anyway this thread has proved to be a very good sanity check for what I was thinking, thanks!
Same here, every PC I've built recently has had a problem of some kind

You can get it much cheapr from Amazon or Dabs:

    http://www.dabs.com/products/crucial...m_content=Q200

I would also get a Samsung F3 1TB TBH as the case has mounts for 3.5" drives:

It seems the motherboard is far cheaper at other retailers too:

Damn Scan's pricing. That Scorpio drive is lightning fast, hence my interest, and obviously it will keep weight down and leave more space for cable tidying. Not certain though, as it would definitely save a few quid with the 3.5" option.

Ah okay, good to know. Mind you, my recent cards have been XFX, so it couldn't be any worse

Would that be the case if the label on the box states 10 year warranty?

Ask as I've got an EVGA that has the label as above.

    Thanks.

Re: Spec me a MicroATX Build!

I know many manufacturers used to state all sorts on the box, and then in the T&Cs it would say "applies to USA only", I'm guessing it's the same situation with this card.

No EVGA does still do 10year warranties just not on all their cards, the expensive ones still do, however their cheap cards don't, between 1 and 3 years depending on card

Good to hear, so I'm happy with the GTX570 HD I got off danroyle, shame I sold my GTX580 that also had the same 10 year label on it.

    Thanks mate!
