Can't see anything wrong with that at all.

Depending on what games your playing, dropping down to a triple core and upping the GPU a bit might give better results.....but highly dependant on title.

    Re: Pc build check

The build looks fine to me. If you are overclocking I would go for this motherboard:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/gigab...-%28x16%29-atx

    This is the Asus equivalent:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/asus-...-%28x16%29-atx

I would avoid the PSU and look at the suggestions I have made in this thread:

    http://forums.hexus.net/pc-hardware/...er-2011-a.html

How are much you are you paying for the hard drive??

    Re: Pc build check

Do you think it would be worth swapping the 6870 with a 6950 or will the 6870 cope with those titles? I also forgot to say I'd like to be able to play starcraft 2 at reasonable settings Thanks again for the help

    Re: Pc build check

Skyrim is a console port.....so any 3 core CPU + a half decent gfx card should do.

TF2 will play on pretty much any modernish hardware.

Star wars.....seems to be a 2-3 core affair with high memory usage. As for GPU needs......I have no idea and there is hardly any info about.

    Re: Pc build check

I would say you previous build looked better a 6870 can run bf3 and skyrim on max settings. My builds almost identical to this but i think i got better components for about that price, if that costs £600
